Hi All,

I think that is a good call on your part.

When and if we need to file a claim it should be (hopefully not ever) for something larger in scope.

Just the way of insurance these days.

I will see if the Broker can have a Q&A with the Board. Great idea!

The decision is to NOT file a claim. Thanks Rachel. Cherie

Rupert,

I will check with the agent.

In my opinion given the current status of insurance and many carriers dropping or not renewing to their current clients, you need to be very judicious about filing a claim. If you are only looking to recoup $3,000.00 you may want to reconsider filing a claim. Many carriers are no longer insuring any Condos and definitely not insuring Condos that are 30 years old or more.

Perhaps you will want to talk amongst yourselves about this and get back to me.

Regards,

Hi Rachel,

Scanning our insurance policy, it looks like we are covered for wet rot with a $10,000 deductible per unit. We spent $13,239.69 on rot repair to unit 1243. Could you check with our insurance agent as to whether we may file a claim for the damage, and at least recoup $3.239.69?

Thanks,

Rupert
