Good morning,

The Treasury Department announced yesterday that it will not enforce the Corporate Transparency Act (CTA) against US citizens or domestic reporting companies (including Washington Corporations), and that it will propose a future rule that limits CTA enforcement to foreign corporations only.

It is not certain whether this will be a permanent end to the back and forth, but it appears that the Treasury Department will continue to work toward restricting CTA enforcement against entities like community associations, and, at least for the foreseeable future, our firm's clients are not obligated to file Beneficial Ownership Interest (BOI) reports.
